The idea behind Poquito

With poquito, we are changing the way stories are told. Children and the adults who read to them can use this quality time to strengthen their relationship – and explore varied stories in a sustainable, resource-friendly way.

I love reading stories to children, and I was always curious myself to find out what happens next. It’s especially lovely to dive into a completely different world together with the children.

From my own childhood I remember exactly one book that I wanted to read again and again. My aunt wrote it and wove the names of my friends into the story. It’s the only book that has survived the decades, and it’s one of the inspirations for poquito.

Back then, though, the technology to make this easily available to many people didn’t exist. Using the latest technology, we can now weave in not only the names but also the characters’ personalities, and invent new adventures every day that fit each family’s own situation.

A team of designers and software developers has been working to make this vision come true.
